The DOI for BVD Type 2 is at least 11 months; C. fetus and L. hardjo-bovis at least 1 year. For use in all classes of cattle, including pregnant cows, heifers and calves nursing pregnant cows. Vaccinate dairy cows during the dry off period. Contains Xtend® SP adjuvant which provides long-lasting immune system stimulation that helps release antigens over time.
Directions: 5 ml subcutaneously 2-4 weeks prior to breeding, revaccinate in 4-5 weeks. Revaccinate annually. Milk reduction and transient depression may be observed in lactating dairy cows for 3-6 days following vaccination with Vira Shield 4+VL5 HB. 60 day slaughter withdrawal.
Anaphylactoid reactions may occur. Antidote: Epinephrine.
