Description
Pelleted mix of mineral salts, electrolytes, yeast and linseed meal designed to pull water into and lubricate the GI tract, buffer excess acids, and support normal digestion and healthy bowel function. Great for horses under stress, before shipping or showing, strange show grounds and other places horses may not drink, and chilly nights. May help reduce cribbing linked to high stomach acidity. May reduce stomach discomfort when given in conjunction with administering NSAIDs.
Tractgard uses linseed meal as a manure softener, GI tract lubricant and protein source. Protein from linseed meal helps maintain healthy weight and supports healthy hoof and hair growth. Diamond V yeast supports fiber and protein digestion. Combined with the protein from linseed meal, it helps maintain healthy weight and supports healthy hoof and hair growth. Calcium carbonate helps maintain proper stomach pH. Feeding with meals may reduce discomfort associated with stomach acidity from excess grain intake. Electrolyte salts help encourage increased water intake through drinking.
Contains min 15% crude protein, min 4% crude fat, max 10% crude fiber, min 4.03% calcium, max 4.2% calcium, min 4.1% sodium, and max 4.2% sodium.
Directions: 1/2 oz daily, then work up to 1-2 oz per grain meal. 1 oz scoop enclosed.
