Description

A dual-purpose formula designed to protect dairy and beef cattle from attacks of biting flies in barns and out in the pasture, and also to function as an effective space spray for quick knockdown and kill of flies in barns.

Contains 0.05% pyrethrins, 0.1% piperonyl butoxide and 0.5% dichlorvos.

To protect livestock from attack by fleas, spray bedding and walls of pen, cracks and crevices. Repeat treatment frequently until adequate control is obtained. In a complete fly control program, spray should be used in combination with residual insecticides and sanitary measures.

To develop a residual repellency to stable flies, horn flies, mosquitoes and gnats on dairy cows, apply 1 to 2 oz to each animal for a 3 day period. Apply with hydraulic-type hand sprayer to ensure that animal’s entire body is covered. Use care in spraying legs, belly and shoulders. Avoid areas around nose, eyes and mouth. Avoid wetting hide. Spray in same manner after 2 days and every 2nd day thereafter, or when insects disturb animal. Wash teats and udder with warm water prior to milking. Spray calves lightly once per day instead of attempting to build up a residual repellency by spraying more heavily.

For control of lice on livestock, spray animals with 2 oz. Immediately rub spray into hair, paying attention to infested areas. Repeat as necessary, but not more than once every 3 weeks. To kill flies, mosquitoes and gnats in barn prior to milking, close all doors and windows and direct spray toward ceiling. Barn should remain closed for 10-20 minutes. Sweep up and destroy fallen insects. Repeat as necessary. Apply at rate of 1 oz of spray per 1,000 cubic feet. Do not use mist solution in areas where animals have received direct spray within 8 hours. Do not contaminate water, feed or food stuffs, milk or milking utensils. Avoid over spraying which will result in wetting the animal’s hide.
