Description
Quick, convenient and reliable dipstick test for sub-clinical ketosis in fresh cows. No need for urine or blood samples.
Just dip ketone test strip in milk, and after 1 minute, compare to color chart on bottle to test for BHB (beta-hydroxybutyrate).
BHB is one of the major ketone bodies formed during ketosis and the same ketone detected by blood tests. The higher the concentration of BHB, the darker the purple color.
Each Porta BHB vial contains test strips, directions and color chart. Instructions in English, Spanish, German and French.
