Description
Studies show that 25% of calves are born with the inability to absorb an adequate amount of colostral bioactives. Helps improve colostrum absorption and maternal programming of the calf and activates newborn’s cells for protection from disease. Helps reduce need for on-farm pasteurization which often denatures the antibody, leaving calf with ineffective colostrum. Timing is critical to a successful colostrum feeding management program. Newborn calves achieve passive immunity by consuming colostrum shortly after birth, thus providing essential proteins called immunoglobulins. The ability of a calf’s small intestine to absorb immunoglobulins drops rapidly over the first few hours of life.
The convenience NurseMate PLUS 150 Colostrum Replacer increases the odds the calf will get fed needed colostrum to help achieve maximum levels of immunoglobulins in their systems through passive immunity. Helps ensure the best care and management of newborns when quantity or quality of available colostrum may be highly variable. Guaranteed BVD/BLV- and Johne’s-free. Gentle processing to ensure bioactives retain their biological effect.
