For horses in all life stages. Omega-3
is beneficial to maintain joint, skin, coat and immune system health;
heart health and endurance; and growth and reproduction.
Each 1
oz serving contains 94% crude fat, min 8.9 gm omega-3 fatty acids (min
4.7 gm EPA, min 3.1 gm DHA and min 1.1 gm other omega-3 fatty acids) and
natural apple flavor.
Directions: Horses - 1 oz daily;
Weanlings and yearlings - 1/2 oz. Administer with food. Omega-3 fish oil
is intended for supplemental feeding only. Refrigerate after opening
and consume within 90 days.

Why do horses need omega-3 (EPA and DHA) in their diets?
- Omega-3 fatty acids are "good fats" needed for optimal health and performance. These and omega-6s cannot be produced by the body. Animals must get them from their diets.
- Botanical sources of omega-3 and -6 are difficult for horses and other animals to convert into EPA and DHA.
- Omega-3 fatty acids have been found to help support the inflammatory
response, including chronic problems such as osteoarthritis and possibly
laminitis.
