Description
Ideal for horses involved in heavy to very heavy exercise, racing, eventing, reining and more. Contains the same ingredients as Cosequin ASU with the addition of high quality HA to help lubricate joints, and green tea extract, an antioxidant that protects the body from the effects of free radicals. The combination of glucosamine/chondroitin sulfate plus ASU has been shown in cartilage cell studies to be more effective than glucosamine/chondroitin sulfate alone at inhibiting expression of several components involved in the breakdown of cartilage.
34 grams (2 scoops) contain 14,400 mg glucosamine HCl, 10,000 mg MSM, 2,400 mg chondroitin sulfate, 2,100 mg ASU powder, 100 mg sodium hyaluronate (HA) and 30 mg total catechins (from green tea extract).
Directions: Initial daily administration for 2-4 weeks: Under 600 lbs - 1 scoop; 600-1,200 lbs - 2 scoops. Long-term daily administration: Under 600 lbs - 1/2 scoop; 600-1,200 lbs - 1 scoop. Prior to and during event or strenuous exercise, administration may be increased back to initial level for extra support. 1,050 grams = 60 day supply at 1 scoop level.
