RS420 Cordless Stick Reader is a rugged, reliable and durable hand-held transponder reading device for RFID Tags. Provides cable-free operation through an internal rechargeable battery pack. Features a large thumb-activated Read button and a red "Active" visual indicator. A "Good Read" is confirmed by an audible beeper, vibrating handle and green visual indicator. Features a high contrast LCD screen that includes battery level indicator and clock. Backlit screen is easy to read in sunlight or darkness and features a large display. Readout displays RFID tag number, tag type, session and tag count. Wirelessly communicates via integrated Bluetooth® module which is able to set up fast connection to 3 Bluetooth devices (compatible with Android and Apple products). Able to upload cross-reference files to identify animals in a mob for treatments/drafting, to identify extra animals in a mob, and to draft stock. USB upload/download to/from USB memory stick and USB connection to a computer. Features 100,000 (10,000 animals per session) tag number memory and stores sessions with time and date stamp. Read zone extends 360° around end of tube for optimum orientation and read distance (up to 42 cm from the tip for HDX cattle tags or 30 cm for HDX sheep tags in best orientation). Passes rugged industry water-resistance and drop tests and features a rubber anti-slip gripping surface. Fiberglass construction; hermetically sealed to keep dust out. Can be briefly immersed in water. Fully ISO compatible and reads all brands of electronic tags that meet ISO11784 and 11785 standards. Operate multiple RS420 readers in the same vicinity without causing interference between readers. Exceptional scanning functionality for HDX or FDX-B RFID tags. Powered by 7.4VDC Li-Ion rechargeable battery pack which provides optimum operating time for scanning livestock. Fast charge - battery charges in less than 3 hours. Runs for 8 hours in continuous reading mode and 16 hours in eco power mode. Battery is recharged using detachable 1 meter long coiled cable, with a DB9(f) data connector containing an integral coaxial power jack and provided power supply.
