Description

A range of slow release boluses for ruminants. Use with calves/cattle only when copper supplementation is required. Prolonged release of copper to provide approximately six months supplementation. Easy-to-use – no injections, abscesses, pain or stress to the animal.

Each bolus contains 30 gm copper oxide particles.

Directions: Seek the advice of a veterinarian or cattle husbandry specialist to ascertain copper status and the type of supplementation required for cattle under consideration.

Adult cattle over 500 lbs - Administer 1 bolus orally with a suitable balling gun. Adult cattle in situations of very low copper status may be given 2 boluses.

Administer only intact boluses, do not crush or break. Do not administer to cattle of unknown copper status or those supplemented with other sources of copper. Do not use in cattle suffering from jaundice or any other liver disorder. Under most conditions, readministration will not be necessary for at least 12 months. Excessive levels of molybdenum, sulfur, selenium, or iron in feed or water may impair copper absorption. Do not administer 12.5 gm to newborn calves. Copper toxicity in neonates has been reported. Do not administer to sheep.
