Features Insect Shield® Repellent Technology, which was originally developed in the 1990's in conjunction with the US Army and then used in the first EPA insect repellent apparel in 2003. The process binds a proprietary permethrin formula tightly to the fabric fiber. Technology lasts the expected lifetime of the mask (25 washings). Insect Shield received a Category IV rating, the most favorable rating given by the EPA. It requires no re-application and there is no potential for over-use.
Horse size fits 900-1,200 lbs; XL size fits 1,100-1,500 lbs (on average).
