But you may not know about a NEW service where our pharmacist will call the veterinarian to verify prescriptions for you. Ordering has never been easier, even with the required paperwork. Expanded Stock of Prescription Medications

We stock hundreds of prescription medications for animals so it’s easy to find what you need, fast. You’ll see the Rx icon and “Prescription Required” callout on livestock, equine, and pet medications such as antibiotics, allergy relief, and pain relief/arthritis (just to name a few). Shopping has never been easier either, with specific product categories for dairy, beef, swine, sheep/goat, horse, dog and cat.

We’ll Call the Vet

To process your prescription order, we need a valid prescription on file. After you place your order online and provide the veterinarian’s contact information during checkout, our pharmacists will contact your vet for the prescription on your behalf. Once we have your prescription(s) on file, we will ship your order promptly.

For customers who already have prescriptions on file with us, we’ll process your order as usual. Our website will only let you order what you have available, so if you’re out of refills the site gives you the option of asking us to contact the vet for the new prescription. It’s easy and efficient!

There’s no extra charge for our pharmacists to contact your vet, but if you prefer to handle this step directly, instruct your vet to submit the prescription(s) to us by:

• Calling our Pharmacy at 800-835-7451, or
• Faxing the prescription to our Pharmacy at 330-830-2764.

After the vet submits the prescription to us, we do ask you to call 800-321-0235 to place the actual order. If you have the original prescription from your vet, please call our Customer Care team at 800-321-0235 for ordering instructions.

Lawful Prescriptions Require VCPRs

Prescriptions are required for certain medications, but to be lawful in most states, they must come from a vet that sees your animal regularly. A Veterinarian-Client-Patient-Relationship (VCPR) means they examine your livestock or pets on a regular basis, assess bloodwork, evaluate medication response, etc. Make sure you’re initiating only prescription orders that come from VCPRs.
