Vetisulid Powder

Broad-spectrum antibacterial indicated for treatment of diarrhea caused or complicated by E. coli in calves and swine. Each 54 gm bottle contains 50 gms sulfachlorpyridazine. Each level tsp of Vetisulid contains approx 2800 mg sulfachlorpyridazine. Calf dosage: 30-45 mg sulfachlorpyridazine per lb body weight in 2 divided doses for 1-5 days. Example administration for a singe 130 lb calf: Mix 3/4-1 tsp Vetisulid with sufficient milk or milk substitute, to be consumed at 1 feeding. Repeat every 12 hrs for up to 5 days. Pig dosage: 20-35 mg sulfachlorpyridazine per lb body weight in 2 divided doses for 1-5 days. Example administration for a single 10 lb pig: Mix 1 bottle Vetisulid with 5 cups water; draw prepared solution into a syringe and feed 4 ml twice daily for up to 5 days. Fresh solutions should be prepared at time of use. Slaughter withdrawal: Calves - 7 days; Swine - 4 days.

Broad-spectrum antibacterial highly effect against E. coli, the most common cause of bacterial scours. Each ml of sterile solution provides 215 mg sodium sulfachlorpyridazine. Dosage: 1 ml IV per 10 lbs body wt morning and night. Ruminating calves must not be slaughtered for food during treatment and for 5 days after last treatment.
