Flea Control Comparison Chart

Pesky fleas and ticks can cause serious problems for your pets, you and your home. Fleas can cause diseases that can lead to sores, worms, allergies and can effect overall health. Ticks are also known to cause major risks to your pet's health, such as Lyme disease and Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever. Check your pet for fleas and ticks on a regular basis.

How to check for fleas
1. Use a metal comb to go through your pet's coat and touch the skin below. If you see black specks you might have found flea dirt.
2. Put a white paper towel under your pet while you rub your hands through its fur. If there are black specks on the towel you might have found flea dirt.

How to check for ticks
Look for ticks around the head, neck and paws - this is where ticks like to attach. If you find a tick remove it slowly with tweezers, place it in a jar or bottle and take it to your vet to determine the species.
