SulfaMed G Soluble Powder from Bimeda Animal Health is for the treatment of shipping fever complex, bacterial pneumonia, calf diphtheria and footrot in dairy calves, dairy heifers and beef cattle. Each packet contains 473 gms sulfamethoxine. Dosage: 25 mg per lb followed by 12.5 mg per lb per day for 4 days. Treatment should not be continued beyond 5 days. Mix one pkt SulfaMed G with 5 gals water for stock solution. Will medicate 30 600-lb animals initially or 60 600-lb animals on maintenance dose. Do not use in veal calves. 7 day slaughter withdrawal.
